Week 13

This past week was pretty uneventful. Finals are getting closer and I even have some due the first week of December so that is daunting. This past weekend I hosted a game party at school. It was a lot of fun and I am very glad that I had the opportunity to do it. I came up with the idea and the Associate Dean of Students told me that there is money available for students to do activities like that and she allowed me about 150 bucks to get everything I needed. I was able to get the food from Papa Gino's (an Italian place that is like Fazzolis) and I got some chips and soda to go along with the pasta, salad and cheese sticks that Papa Ginos provided. I already have a lot of games and I went to return some stuff to Goodwill and ended up exchanging for a brand new scategories game, scrabble, two decks of cards, boggle, and 3 books for my plane trip home. The games were under 2 bucks each which I thought was a great deal. I must attribute this to Libby though because she is the one who always talks about picking up scategories and balderdash at St. Vinny's for a few bucks.

I made up flyers and sent out a mass email to my classmates inviting people to come. I wasn't sure how many people would show up and was told to plan for 15 and about 12 people were there throughout the night so I thought that was pretty good. We played Uno, Scategories, Boggle, and Tripoly. One of my professors saw a flyer and showed up to play games so it was actually a lot of fun. I already have plans to have another game party next semester...probably in January.

I now have to get started on my studying for my exams because my first in class exam is December 10th which is only a few weeks away. I think I will do fine so I am not worrying about anything really which seems to annoy some of my classmates. I don't see the point in worrying...If you are worried about something you have control over then change it so you dont worry. If you are worried about something you have no control over then whats the point?
