Week 14

Wow my four day weekend has come and gone *tear*. Soon I will get a 21 day weekend though so I shouldn't be too sad.

I went out to a restaurant with some friends on Thanksgiving and had some pretty darn good food. But this new tradition has ruined me because now I probably will never cook a Thanksgiving dinner. For 2o bucks you can eat all you want and not have to worry about cooking or cleaning up. It was worth it. Also being in the Northeast has its perks--Maple flavored desserts. I got the best maple cheesecake EVER at the restaurant. And they have bite size pumpkin pies. It was seriously great food...I might just be saying that because I have had to cook for myself for the last three months but really I think it was good food. Maybe the next time someone comes out and visits me we can go to that restaurant and see if the regular menu items are as good as the Thanksgiving Buffet.

On Thanksgiving Morning (at 5:30 am) I had to take a friend to the Airport. Well I didn't have to take her but I felt bad because the taxi cost was astronomical. She is from Japan and we met because she wanted to talk with someone in English once a week and so we started having lunch every week. I asked if she knew about rascal (they made the story into a cartoon and its super popular over there) and of course she knew about it and had even watched the cartoon when she was little. So she said she would bring me back a dvd of the cartoon and a stuffed rascal toy. There is even a Rascal Store that has all things rascal. I am excited to see the stuff in about 30 minutes when we meet for lunch. She showed me the online rascal shop and they seriously have anything you could possibly want with Rascal on it. There were rascal toys, cell phone charms, cell phone screen cleaners, towels, plates, cups, bowls, bags, pencils, pens, etc. I told her that Sterling Norths house wasn't anything but a house with a small museum in it and that I didn't understand why anyone would come all the way from Japan to just see it but she said that people are crazy about Rascal in Japan so it is really a big deal to see Sterling North's house. She said that she would like to come to Edgerton someday to see it...I told her that she was more than welcome to come to Edgerton but I would show her more than just the house.

It finally snowed here yesterday and I thought it would stick but then it decided to rain and today the high is 51. The weather is more like its about to be spring than its about to be winter. I hope that it stays this nice for the next few weeks until I get on my plane and get home. I don't want any delays because of the crazy New England weather.

See you all (except for the people who read this that don't live in and around Edgerton) in a few weeks!
